Attic conversions generally reflect a desire to increase living space. Provided there is sufficient height under the ridge, the attic has great potential for creating a games room, a family room with a TV corner, a guest bedroom or even an office.

The key is to create openings to bring in natural light, and to use light materials and colours to open up the space. Skylights can be used to create light partitions without reducing the feeling of space.
